Whole Foods Beauty Week

*This post is sponsored by Whole Foods. All opinions are my own.*

Motherhood has brought so many things to light for me. I’ve become a little bit of a fanatic when it comes to what goes into the products we are buying. And since my husband had melanoma, I’m starting to search for products that are safe and chemical free for our skin, that also WORK! Natural beauty has become more of a priority in my life. Whole Foods sent over some of their favorite natural products for me to try out, in preparation for their 4th annual Beauty Week (March 21-28). To tell you the truth, I wasn’t even aware they did something like this. But I think it’s a great way for people to try out some natural products without breaking the bank.

During beauty week they are offering 25% off beauty products, such as makeup, facial care, nail care, hair care, and makeup brushes. This is a great time to try out those products you’ve been eyeing at a discounted price. They also have a limited-edition Beauty Bag full of some amazing natural products for $20 (a $90 value). After enjoying a sneak peek at some of the products, I’ll definitely be purchasing the beauty bag!!

I wanted to share some of the products they sent over, because I’ve been trying them out over the past two weeks, and have found some winners! And you might find a few things you’d like to purchase next week during Beauty Week 🙂

First up is the Blue Cactus Beauty Elixir & Rose Vetiver Day Moisturizer by evanhealy. The box recommends using these products in conjunction with one another, and that’s exactly what I did. I used them on the days I’d be applying makeup to hydrate my face a bit more. I noticed it kept my skin hydrated throughout the day, without making it oily. These are great products to use during those dry winter months!

This trio is the Soothing Cleansing Milk, Clarifying Day Oil, and Night Serum by Dr. Hauschka. I’ve never used any of these products before, but found the most success with them. The Soothing Cleansing Milk was a great makeup remover, but I felt it left my skin a bit oily. I’d recommend the cleansing milk and night serum for people who struggle with dry skin. The Night Serum WOW’d me the most! It feels like jelly when you apply it, and I noticed a big difference in my skin the next morning. I’m going to be using this for a while to see if it continues to help with my dry skin and fine lines.

This hydrating dream team over here is the Almond Facial Cream from Weleda and a Cucumber Witch Hazel Misting Toner with Aloe Vera from Thayers! I decided to try these to products out on the days I didn’t wear any makeup, as to help my skin breath and hydrate. This was my first time using a mister for my face, and I enjoyed it quite a bit. I think it would help a lot more in the summer when I’m looking for a cooling effect, but it’s a product I would definitely buy. The Almond Facial Cream worked well for my skin. I love that it’s fragrance-free and made for sensitive skin. I get some pretty bad breakouts during a certain time of the month, and this didn’t irritate my face at all.

Makeup time! We have the Burt’s Bees Brimming Berry Lipstick and Mineral Fusion Volumizing Mascara. When I opened the box, I noticed the Burt’s Bess lipstick, I was so excited to share this product. I have a few of these in different colors already and I swear by them. They keep my lips hydrated throughout the day, and have a beautiful pigment. When I re-apply the lipstick it doesn’t strip away the existing product, but adds to the pigment. As for the mascara, I’ve been using it for the past couple of days with ease. I love how it doesn’t clump up and gives a natural look to your lashes. I’d say it’s a great natural mascara to have in your makeup kit.

And lastly, we have some of my favorite masks! The Instant Hydration Mask from Andalou, the Instant Lift & Firm Mask from Andalou, and the Radically Rejuvenating Under Eye Hydrogel Mask from Acure. I’ve used all three of these in the past and LOVE them. I constantly use the hydration mask from Andalou after a mud mask. The sirum leaves my skin hydrated without throwing off the balance of my skin. It really does feel like a mini facial in the comfort of your own home!

So there you have it friends! Whole Foods clearly has some great natural products to choose from. I’ll be checking out their beauty week (March 21-28) sometime next week, and will be sure to share what I pick up from my local store in Marlboro (<- Click the link for their store page)! Follow along on my Instagram and be sure to share what you purchased (I HIGHLY recommend the beauty bag).
