Spring transitions with Pink Blush

Growing up we were taught about the four seasons, and my childish mind looked at those 4 equal parts of the pie thinking each season lasted as long as the last. But the truth is, Spring in the northeast lasts for a few weeks and then the dreaded 80 degree weather hits us. One day we are bundled up, and the next everyone is running around in short sleeves. My wardrobe has become a stock of layers that compliment each other. This March we’ve seen 70 degree weather, and a snow storm. So when it comes to fashion I try to get a little creative. Although my style is mostly on the mom tee and leggings side, I love to mix girly and edgy looks. When I had the pleasure of working with Pink Blush, I chose a dress that would be a great transition into Spring.
It’s not often I get a moment away from my family, but when a Sunday brunch with some friends from college became a possibility I jumped at the chance. I already planned in my head to wear this gorgeous new dress, and when I woke up to 30 degree weather my enthusiasm dwindled. I searched my closet and found a leather jacket I had picked up at Kohl’s years ago. To tell you the truth I think I’ve worn it once before. I added some black boots, and a knitted scarf to complete the look (and of course I wore tights underneath so my legs wouldn’t freeze). My quick outfit became the perfect brunch outfit!

My favorite accessory to pair with a dress is a jean jacket. No matter what style dress you pick it compliments so well. It’s definitely my spring and fall must have item! And now that the snow is starting to melt, out comes the jean jacket. Since it’s still too cold for flip flops, and I didn’t have a pair of flats that would match, I decided to try different types of boots with this maxi. My mother in law can pull this look off without a hitch, and I started copying it because I loved the look so much!

Since having A I’ve tried a few items from Pink Blush and I’ve fallen in love with their clothing. It’s truly a brand that can be worn before, during, and after pregnancy. When Pink Blush sent me this dress I was so excited to put it on! I love that it can be worn on or off the shoulder, which gives it two different looks. I do suggest wearing a slip underneath as I found the fabric to be a bit see-through. I’m always a bit cautious with maxi dresses because I am 5’7 and length can be an issue, but I found this to be a great length for heels or flats.
At the end of the day how you feel in a dress is what really matters! This one makes me feel confident and playful. Plus, Tyler was a fan as well 🙂
