The Little Green Pouch


 Since we are an on-the-go family food pouches have become a necessity! But the truth is buying 20+ pouches at the grocery store every week is hard on the wallet, and the environment. So, I set out to find an eco-friendly option for my family. I came across the little green pouch website and started reading reviews. These pouches are reusable, dishwasher, and freezer safe. But the best part is they are made of durable, BPA-free, PVC-free, & phthalate-free plastic. The pouches come in 3 sizes; I chose the 7oz pouch because of the amount A is eating and drinking at the moment. I love to fill the pouches with water, throw them in the freezer overnight, and have them the next day! It’s a great option to take with you to the park on a hot summer day.      Smoothies are a great way to get those extra nutrients into your tough eaters. Teething has been rough on our end, A has been refusing solids, so I like to improvise. Since A is dairy free I use water or unsweetened almond milk as a liquid. I use a nutribullet and try to make each drink as smooth as I possibly can. Below are a few of A’s favorite smoothies:

Banana, oats, cinnamon, peanut butter, spinach, water

Cocoa powder, banana, oats, almond milk

Strawberry, spinach, peanut butter, oats, water

Blueberry, spinach, banana, water

Mixed berries, spinach, oats, almond milk

Liquids: 1 cup
Powder: 1/2 cup
Fruit: 1/2 cup
Veggies: 1/3 cup
Spreads: 1 tbsp
